Mobile Just done my first Park Run

We have had dd staying with us for the week and in a moment of madness yesterday I agreed to do a park run with her😩. Although it was hard I actually enjoyed being out early in the sunshine, everyone was friendly and encouraging. I was 7th in my age group but 81st our if 83 with a time of 46 mins. Will I go on my own? not sure but planning on doing the one near our Christmas cottage on the 21st definitely! Anyone else do these?

Congratulations, I love parkrun. I've just done my 87th, I love the fact it's so inclusive and doesn't matter how speedy you are.

Well done!

Yep I’m a parkrunner - on parkrun 127 now!

Be warned it’s very addictive!

Love Parkrun and I got my 50 t-shirt a couple of weeks. The chesty cold I had a couple of weeks ago is still lingering so I haven't been for a while and I really miss it (and I never thought I'd be someone who would miss running!)

I did 1 a few weeks ago. I’m not too sure I will go again. It was difficult but I can’t say I didn’t feel a sense of achievement at the end. I cried at the end as I was so happy/ emotional that I did it lol.

Love parkrun! Can't go very often as my boys both play football (in different directions) on a Saturday morning. But it's an amazing, inclusive event. I've not managed anything under 50 minutes for a long while, but still love it! I recently made my friend an awesome cake for her 250th parkrun

I’m a novice parkrunner and am slow but I get a huge sense of achievement which sets me up for the rest of the day. A pb always gives me a lift but they are getting harder to obtain so I think I must have reached my peak!
