Paying for the dining plan aaarhhh !

We have several reservations for March staying at POFQ and Gran Destino. Our first booking was made through e bookers and I want to add and pay for the dining plan spoke to Disney and they have told me three times that they cant do anything as booked through 3 rd party ebookers are adamant they cant do anything so have reached an impasse. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Don’t do it! Put the same amount of money on a pre paid card and then spend as you go. Advantage is flexibility. You can have starters if you want instead of desert for example. There is no advantage in your position paying for the dining plan.

I don’t think there’s anything you can do. Ebookers don’t sell the dining plan as far as I know and Disney can’t do anything as you didn’t book with them.

I agree, just put the money on a prepaid card. Disney are right though - they can't add it on since you booked it through a third party.

I still believe when you factor in the mugs drinks and food still represents good value for .money. We have done it a few times the standard one last year and still feel it represents good value when you price everything up.

I agree. We paid OOP last year and spent just as much as we would have on DDP. It’s only the case if you can pay for it in Sterling though as the dollar rate is so poor.

Will you have a car? A couple of table service meals outside Disney and you will definitely save money without it.

Yes usually have a car and probably will have one for part of the time however on the downside when you factor in parking charges of over $20 a day each day and we are staying at a Disney resort for 15 days !

Can you cancel with ebookers and rebook with Disney? Don't you need to have your tickets alongside your accomodation booking to even be able to pay for the dining plan on the uk site though? I think the US site is different though.

Yes we have free cancellation with e bookers however the price is over £350 with Disney. As far as tickets are concerned we have Gold DVC annual passes
