Rivers of light.

So we are going in June and getting ready to book dining. I just come across the Rivers of Light, could someone who has done it tell me if it’s worth doing, I read that it is not that good, also not mad about the restraints so can you book it by itself without the dining?

It’s just some lit up boats floating around to music but I actually quite enjoyed it. You don’t need to book a restaurant, doing that just gives you preferred seating.

I’d say do it if you’ve never seen it before but we were bored rigid to be honest !

It is some lit up boats with big flowers floating about. It held my interest for not very long. I have never deliberately gone to it, just happened to be walking past whilst it was on and very easily got viewing spot, you definitely don’t need to book something.

I think it is a bit marmite though, because obviously some people do enjoy it. No idea whether you will.

Still we have decided to give it a proper go next time, as we haven’t seen any of the shows all the way through and we decided we would do next trip. I booked the dining package with Tiffins early dinner. I have also booked the Fantasmic dining package with Hollywood & Vine which will be another first.

We loved it so much we went twice! Did Tuskers for breakfast to get in that evening in reserved seating area but second time we did it during paid for late evening & sat the opposite side to the reserved seating which was actually a better view.
The music was so lovely, the second time I actually video'd the whole thing too.

ROL IMHO the most boring Disney show I would say ever.

Watch it on youtube and spend those 2 hours you would have wasted on the Safari or Expedition Everest at night.

If watching large squirting flowers float about for 20 mins is your thing then go for it.

The Jungle Book version was better at least it had some people in it

We really didn't enjoy it, I found it quite boring. I nearly booked a package to watch it and glad I didn't. We just turned up and still got got seats.
But my adult Daughter is coming with us next year and when she watched it in 2018 she loved it and wants to watch again. So I will be giving it another try.
As others have said it is very marmite, So love it some dont, I say just go along and see what you think. But you dont need to book a package to watch it just turn up and find a seat.

Me and my family really enjoyed it... Nice change of pace from fireworks and rides...

You don't need a package to watch it but if you do have one you get a spot in a reserved location meaning you don't have to be queuing much before hand to get a good spot.

We saw it last night and really enjoyed it. It uses a lot of the projection onto water technology that Fantasmic uses. Some of the fountain images are spectacular, and the music is lovely. It is a different show to the one we saw last year, it seemed longer. When we went I was surprised to see the whole arena full. We used a fast pass. I don’t think you’d get the full impact just watching from outside the arena. We’d certainly go again.

We did it twice last time & loved it! Really well done in my opinion & better than the hundreds of random fireworks that was Illuminations in my opinion.
