I love the thin crepe type. In japan they had these crepe ones with apricot ice cream, peaches and some type of biscuit. I have never tasted anything as scrumptious in my life. They were by the company blue seal, similar to Haagen Daz over here. Pancakes here or the states aren’t the same after that for me, but I’ll try to recreate it next week Thanks for the reminder MH

Good to know for a Yorkshireman that a few pancakes will be nicer than an expensive meal out.

I’m American pancakes all the way & for anyone who can’t be bothered making their own Asda to an amazing double chocolate chip pancake 😍
Put in your poll about people that like both and have no hope in hell of ever losing any weight!
Marks and spencers do lovely American pancakes

When our daughters were much younger we regularly had holidays in Normandy and Brittany. Lunch was usually a galette (savoury) or a crepe (sweet) - and often both

I can still picture the Forrestiere Galette filled with jambon, champignons, fromage et oeuf ... mmmm

We always have pancake supplies, my children are obsessed with them, preferably covered in Nutella, then drizzled with syrup. Totally healthy. 🥴

I like to add chopped apple and some cinnamon to the mix but my new favourite is adding mincemeat to the batter. They are immense. Not healthy but utterly delicious.

Thin with lemon and sugar here -

but sometimes like to go "retro" with the Little Chef type pancakes - thin and folded with half a tin of cherry pie filling in the middle!

(apple/cinnamon or mincemeat in the batter sounds delicious!)

Happy 53rd Anniversary Mick. If you want to make the bed up in the spare room I can stay for a month or two to celebrate.

I thought my post had been removed as they don't always last too long

I'm pleased that so many dibbers are taking pancake day seriously.

You did offer a couple of months ago to replace all our smoke alarms with long life battery ones so I wouldn't have to ask Joan to stand on a chair and risk her falling off to change the 9v ones. Sadly I believe you wanted paying for this service.

I realise that Rugby is quite a challenge travel-wise for a part timer but we do have a nice (expensive) public school here, a pub named after William Webb Ellis and a very attractive Portland cement works.
