Mobile Cookery book for 13 year old

My granddaughter is very keen on cooking and I know she would love a good basic cookery book. I rarely use a cookery book and when I do it's Delia but I was wondering if theres something more suitable. She has an adult reading age (that's not a boast just mean it doesn't need to be too simple) and is doing food tech at school.

How about the Jamie Oliver take five book, my 14 year old loves to cook and uses this one frequently without any grown up assistance.

I think I was learning from Delia at that age, although I haven't kept up with modern chefs to know what's there now.

If she's interested in baking, you can still get the little Bero cook book that *everyone's* mum had!

She also uses Tilly’s Kitchen takeover a lot which is done by a Gordon Ramsey’s daughter. This one has lots of little hints and tips and is definitely geared towards teens/young adults.

Worth a look but aimed at uni students is the Nosh for students cookbook. It's a really well written uncomplicated book. Uses easily available ingredients and keeps them to a minimum. It also simplifies things by using a mug for a lot of measuring. Tells them prep time cost and portions. I've bought it for DD in the hope she doesn't live on super noodles and toast again at uni. She laughed when it says the dessert spoon (the one you eat cereal with) We had a very nice sweet & sour chicken this week. She surprised herself how quick easy & tasty it was.

Perhaps I'll get that for the older one who seems to be living on Prosecco and pasta.
