Yip, we went to the courthouse at osceola in july, just me, my husband and our 4 yo dd. It was perfect. We paid $128 for everything incl 5 copies of our marriage certificate and there was a small charge for paying by debit card. We parked in a multistorey car park opposite the court house and then after we came out a randomer took our pic in front of the building and then we went to taco bell for lunch lol in the evening we went to maggianos for a meal with my family. It was perfect for us and i am so glad we done it this way!

We did a full blown wedding at Regal Palms resort and spa which is what we wanted. You will need a Notary Public to sign documents in the UK before you can get married in Florida.

Sorry, that’s not true, our DD got married at Leu Gardens in 2009 and all we had to do was go to the courthouse in Kissimmee for a licence which is completely legal in the UK.

Yes we got married at Cypress Grove in 2004 and all we needed was the licence which we got at the Courthouse in Orlando. Someone at work did try telling me something about needing something notarised here but I checked it out and we didn't.

OK just looked back and the reason we did that was because we didn't want to do it in the US, our wedding planner advised we could get the forms signed in the UK and send them over, apologies if any confusion caused

No worries, just didn’t want the OP to do anything unnecessary

We got married in the Kissimmee courthouse in 2002, very easy and I arranged everything over the phone before we left the UK.

We got married at Osceloa courthouse in November last year, just the two of us. Lots of congratulations from people on the walk in (wife in wedding dress getting most of the attention of course )

Went to the office, filled out the forms. Had to wait for another couple ahead of us who were dressed very casually, compared to us anyway.

Once it was our turn we were out of the building within 5 minutes (perfect!). Should have asked for copies of the certificate at the time but didn't think about it.

We then went to the Grand Floridian late afternoon and took many photos in the blazing heat before going to Victoria and Albert's for an amazing wedding breakfast.
