I had trouble with the us airways site yesterday- but last night found options flying into Fort Myers with BA and US I think for about £550 ish through sky scanner and orbitz from 19 August - 2/3 sept. I was surprised as I haven't actively looked for a while but it didn't seem too hard to find acceptable prices- flights were from LHR. I didn't post as no-one seemed to be biting yesterday ? I assumed everyone must be sorted or changed plans? I'll check now but I'm sure it was fort Myers ? I checked on Google maps and it was about 2.5-3 hours from Orlando. I was looking for Future reference for us as we are booked to go to The West Coast this year. Seemed like good options for us as we could avoid flying with Virgin and it's closer than Miami! I was reassured that there was still flight opportunities out there after such tricky year for reasonable flights!
I'll try and look this morning, if there is anyone out there?...

I think the issue is more to do with the dates selected. End of the summer is significantly cheaper. For the same dates can fly Lhr to Tampa for £589pp

Same dates into MCO as two stop but poor connections is £531 pr as 1 stop is £562.

Skyscanner showing multipart booking into FLL for less than £400. This is easyjet to Oslo then Norwegian. Not sure about luggage on that one.

Just checked quickly on Skyscanner LHR - fort Myers 6/8/14-20/8/14 with ok connection times £610 pp goes down to about £575 but that is with long waits on outward leg eg up 30 hours journey time inbound were ok though. This is the only option I have checked today but found quite a lot of different options last night different airports etc. it's 155 ish miles from Orlando, we have considered it in previous years but have always found something reasonable to MCO or Sanford in the end, we would definitely go for these BA flights operated by American. But as I said before I don't know if anyone is left now?...

I'm still waiting for Manchester flights - c. July 29 to Aug 24. The best I get is in and out of Tampa with Netflights for £760ish (indirect with US Airways). Hoping for a post-Easter price drop!

Or you could look at Manchester indirect to Ft Meyers as some have said above with BA to get your Easter surprise earlier.. Bit more of a drive, but still not a bad drive.

Will add Fort Myers to my search list - already have Daytona and Melbourne, along with MCO and TPA😃
