Present ideas for my very hard to buy for mum?
Ok, I need help. Want to get her something nice as she's really helped us this year, budget is up to £50 though.
Can't do: Any kind of skincare/perfume (very bad eczema) No trips/experiences (disabled and in a lot of pain) She doesn't really have any hobbies or collect anything Doesn't need any clothing She's 65 on Friday

Could you take her for a lovely afternoon tea? Or is she well enough for a spa day?

What about a baby-suitable sheepskin rug or bassinet liner (the ones I have seen are about £50). They are soft and comforting, particularly if you struggle to get comfortable on other surfaces. Also good for allergy sufferers.
Subscription to a chocolate delivery so that she gets a different tasting box every month (or similar). |

What about making up a big photo book? Get together lots of pictures from over the years of all family members and make a huge memory book. I did this for my Nan one Christmas and it was her most treasured possession which she kept with her, next to her armchair, until the day she passed away.

How about taking her or having someone in to have her hair done or manicure or pedicure or even a reflexology treatment.

My mum loves codeword puzzle books, so I buy here lots of those over the previous months and it keeps her busy for ages.

A hamper of her favourite things, my mum was ill and I did one every year. It’s was all the things she liked to eat over Christmas, a photo of the kids and a scratch card, M&S Christmas cake, a calendar, maybe a cd of Micheal Buble or Susana Boyle. Whatever music your mum likes. I put in a couple of crackers and festive confetti, she loved it x
Sorry thought it was Christmas, but you can do it still but birthday themed!

I was going to suggest something like this. My mum is 88 and has memory issues. We collected all the photos we could find and put them in a series of albums. We purposely put them in jumbled order do each page would spark a different memory. We have also made calendars with family photos for her (lots of firms do this) and she loved them. Or if she’s a bit more tech savvy, a digital photo frame?
