We’ve definitely had a lot more rain than we’ve previously had in August (6th time in August for us)

Oh heck, we’ve had mixed luck in August and September, looks like a wet fortnight for us then!

Worse places to be wet mind you

We just put the ponchos on and made the most of it. We only had 1 evening at Animal kingdom where the fast pass for river Rapids was cancelled but it worked in the kids favour because the fast pass they gave us for the rest of the rides excluding Pandora meant the kids got to ride Everest again when it reopened.
I have always been in early August and never had as much rain.
Try to not let it ruin to much for you even though it isn't nice.

We got back this time last week - the weather for the 3 weeks before we found was great.
I use storm radar plus other weather apps and use that to plan our day if the weather looks bad -

2 weeks ago the weather looked bad all day, so we went to the beach with blue skies all day.

We got back last Wed and had 2 wet mornings and 1 wet afternoon/evening (was the 1 day we had planned at Busch). We stayed Gulf Coast so the weather was better, we didn't have any afternoon showers as in the quick, cooling ones. It was hot and sunny for the rest.

Since we got home we have had just one sunny afternoon, rest overcast/rainy...

We had lots of bad weather when we went in August 2015. This year we are back to going in October. We took our macs and just carried on as bestas we could.

same - its been horrible since getting back, the kids are climbing the walls going from 20k steps a day to indoor play.

While we were away was when the UK had the 35'c plus heatwave for a few days so i feel cheated out of my UK summer

The weather we had last month was very disappointing for us - many plans cancelled

We returned on Tuesday and had 3 weeks out there. With the exception of one morning we had great weather, albeit too hot at times. It was typical August evening storms but not every night. The weather as we were leaving on Monday had forecast a wet week for the whole week, but they were saying it should improve by Saturday (tomorrow) and return to the usual August pattern. We use the storm tracker 13 app as it’s fairly accurate and you can pinpoint your location. You can then see if it’s in for the day or if it will pass over.
