Try another Jaguar dealer ?
Especially if you want a long week-end test drive you may be better off contacting Jaguar directly.
(Although they may just refer your interest to your nearest dealer.)

Its the nearest one, we test drove the car we wanted and got it from a lease company. Had it 5 weeks now! They (Jaguar) were very helpful, but just couldn't get to the sale price we wanted. So leased instead with another company, who don't have to have a site to keep the cars, so costs are lower.

One of the silver colours, Electric Silver I think, with a hint of blue flakes, cost £900 too.
Nobody pays that surely !

It seemed odd that you could have white or black. Black is too hard to keep looking clean. Its not a metallic or any specks in. Just bright white. We didn't want to pay extra for a pretty colour, white is just fine.

It’s lovely, shame to send it back when the lease is up! Lol! Better get lucky in the lottery for the next one!

Think you would probably still be ok with 12k. Just depends on the deal. My excess miles are only 3.6p. I’ve seen some advertised at 25p!😳

You just need to do the numbers. For me it needs to be around £2.5k a year. But I’m not overly fussed what car it is, as long as it’s decent enough size to fit to kids (with car seats) in the back.

we now have leased cars, i resisted it for a few years. I worked out how much our Sportbrake Jag had cost us (we bought it at 12 months old) and worked out we could have a brand new car for less money. I have a VW tiguan and love it through work and DH has a Skoda estate - can't remember the name of it which was a bargain. Both are fully serviced, DH just has to pay for insurance. I really like the idea that i don't need to worry about extra costs. Downside is that you are locked in, i'm currently looking to change jobs and this means that i may have to pay 3 months rental to hand it back.

We bought a new car last week - went through CarWow as recommended on here.

Looked at leasing, but the aspect of being locked in, limited mileage and 'fines' for any damage really put us off.

We decided to go for a PCP deal instead - 4 year deal but he said they'll contact us at 3 years as that's when they can generally sell them on at quite a good value - you get a new car, they get to sell your old one for profit. Works for everyone I guess.

Went for a Seat Ateka even though we test drove an Arona. The Arona was an automatic with DSG which makes it a really smooth ride through the gears. Couldn't even feel the gear change - it was amazing. We are used to a bigger car though so opted for the Ateka in the end.

It's a no brainer to me. it seems like you have a perfectly good car already. Why try and fix something that isn't broke?

I have a 04 plated Ford Focus. 150,000 miles, regularly serviced, 12k miles a year. Hasn't missed a beat yet.

I blame the OP for this update...

Driving home the other day and the clutch went on my trusty Focus. Would have cost four times what the car is worth to fix so reluctantly sold it to a motor trader who came and collected it with a Subaru impreza and an "a" frame. I won't lie I shed a little tear as my baby was dragged around the corner and disappeared...
