I also had to stop taking statins, luckily my bad cholesterol is low, good cholesterol is where it needs to be.

The statins were affecting my muscles like previous posters, really, really, reallllllllly badly - I was in agony and the doc was considering opiates until the connection clicked and I was taken off statins.

My average is fairly static.

A few days (3 or 4) before my annual Diabetic 2 'MOT', I note my BP morning and afternoon/evening and give the readings to the Diabetic Specialist Nurse. She then inputs the readings into my records and thus obviates the need for BP readings during my appointment, which previously had 'white coat syndrome' results.

Take mine in th morning with my other meds. I asked if I needed to space it because of my omeprezole and mebeverine (however you spell it haha) but was told no it's fine. I work with teens and have 2 teens of my own, I don't need blood pressure tablets on a night if you get what I mean haha

You take the same as me although my mebeverine is colofac and I'm supposed to take it 20 minutes before meals.

I was on Statins and had muscle aches etc, took a while to get going in the morning. Only realised it was the Statins as went on holiday for a week and had forgotten to pack them and wasn't going back to get them, 3 days into the holiday i was jumping out of bed and felt 20 years younger! Doctor changed them to a different type and fingers crossed been fine now

That is an interesting read, DH is on loads of different meds, Ramipril is one of them and there is another Bisoprolol he has to have one in a morning and one at night of the Bisoprolol and the Ramipril in the morning only.
The cardiologist prescribed 5 tablets in a morning and 6 a night altogether. So he is covering both ends of the day!

I've just had my mot , and awaiting results. If I hear nothing then assume all ok . I'm on amlodipine and valsatan. Had tests for kidney and liver function, diabetes and cholesterol. I take my own blood pressure reading in. But used the surgeries blood pressure testing kit in the waiting room this time as well to see what it's like while waiting for blood test . 175/105. Wow. Gave it to nurse who proceeded to do her own test on me , took 3 goes before it came down to normal levels.

I took mine on a morning just after getting up for the day, however after reading the reports I’m going to switch to taking it at night. I have been taking the same medication for around the past 7-8 years without issues and my twice a year checks come back in the normal range each time so not worried about it at all. It makes sense to take it at night if there’s more benefit in doing so. My Dad has a stroke when he was 53 ( and several more over the last 20 years) and has vascular dementia so the better I can manage my own health the better. Dad has always ignored health advice and Mum is driven to distraction by him sometimes but he could have benefitted from this years ago, it’s too late for him but not for me.
