American Airlines via BA.com

I booked a fly drive on ba.com for Feb 2021 into Miami, but flights are on AA metal, I haven't flown with them for nearly 20 years, but does anyone have any tips for seats etc? Not bothered about the cabin crew being chatty (I remember they were very quiet when I last flew with them) as would rather not have chit chat with them, but can I book my seats with them on the BA website or do I need to go onto the AA.com website?

If you log on to BA Site and go to book seats it will redirect you to AA. The big advantage is you can see your assigned seats now, where as with BA you have to wait until 24 hours before unless you prebook your seats

Just jumping on this thread, can you pay to select seats with AA? On their website it says for some flights you may not be able to see your seats but these be allocated by the airline

I logged on to the BA website and it forwarded me to the AA.com site, and it allowed me to pre book (I didn't select them there and then though, was just having a nose) There were 3 options, 2 paid for one one free.

If you log onto the AA website with the BA booking ref you can also select them then.
