In a rather bizarre 'small world' moment, my son actually tried Rocky in February this year. He would be great for confidence - he is very, very steady and would be a great safe hack. He jumped him, and did all that he asked, but with little enthusiasm. He seemed a good solid horse though, and it seems a shame that he's being moved on again so quickly. You would've got a horse like him for half the price a couple of years ago.

That is spooky! Are you Cheshire based?
9 months isn’t super long to be kept no.
I agree horses have gone through the roof in cost, especially the steady Eddie types, as I think the rise in horse ownership has definitely affected the novices more.
Sure they’ll all appear again when the world goes back to normal

Wow, even dearer in Cheshire than Scotland. I think they will just have to wait until things style down a bit.

Blinking heckibobs - that is expensive for that level of horse. You am need to come to France to buy your horses 🐎

No where near Cheshire, but we were in the area for the weekend so had a quick search for anything that ticked the boxes. We wanted safe & steady, but not quite that steady. Nice horse though, he will make someone very happy that doesn't want to do too much.

Yeah that’s not very long to keep a horse, but if he gave the girl confidence, and she now wants something a bit less steady, then I don’t think that’s the worst thing in the world. Better than him rotting in a stable/field, sounds like he could make a beginner happy!
