Moving booking keeping gift card.

Hi all,

We currently have a booking for July, with free dining and the gift card.

We are thinking about moving our trip to mid October - we are confined to school holidays so we would miss the 3rd October cut off to keep the dining.

Does anyone know if we would be able to keep the gift card? Would obviously help cover food costs since we won’t get free dining!

Hi! We have 2 weeks booked at POFQ in August through Attraction Tickets with Free Dining and $300 Gift Card. They have told us that if we were to move the booking to 2021, the Gift Card would definitely be honoured and Free Dining would obviously depend on whether the offer is available for next year.

That's our experience but not sure whether it's dependent on who you have booked through or if the rescheduled trip is the same length etc?

Ooh interesting, I have a $300 gift card and assumed I'd lose it. Not going till September so dont know what to do yet, but it would offset some of the extra cost based on next years prices.

yes you would keep the gift card as that was still part of the Fall 2020 offer, while you didn't get free dinning after 3rd Oct you got 10% discount plus the gift card.

That would be great if they will honour that. We are booked direct with Disney and moved our booking from July 2020 to April 2021 and lost free dining and both gift cards ($200 & $100), I did expect to lose them though.

This is interesting as I enquired about moving my july 20 holiday to july 21 and was told there were no offers at present for those dates and i'd lose my free dining AND the gift cards $300.

Are you saying I'd still get the giftcards if I changed to July 21?I'm booked
direct with WDTC.

No, you wouldn't as you'd be trying to transfer an offer for 2020 dates to a 2021 date. The op is still going in 2020, and would lose free dining as they're going after 3rd October, but the gift card was part of the 'fall' offer, so they'd be able to keep that.

I suspect it is a case of who people have booked with. Just triple checked with ATD and they confirmed that we still receive the $300 in 2021 if we modify our booking as they're the ones providing the Gift Card.

Yes, that's a good point as there were different types of gift card offers - Disney's own, some offering Disney's own, and then some doing their own thing
