Homemade Christmas crackers

Hopefully my 5 year old grandson will be staying with us the week before Christmas as his parents have no childcare where they are.

I have various Christmasy projects and would like to make our own Christmas crackers.

Any ideas of what gift could go in that is suitable for young children and adults.

My first idea is lego torch key rings (kids are all lego mad) any other ideas please.

Chocolate! I have some mini Lindt reindeer but you could use any chocolates, I’m sure I have seen some in Aldi too. Mini bottles of spirits for the grown ups. Personalised key ring (cheap on Etsy). Chap sticks, lip gloss, mini nail polish.

This sounds like a great idea. Can I ask how you make your own crackers?

Amazon have a lot of designs, £2.50 ish for a set that contains a hat, a motto and snap.

You can then make them and fill them with what you want that would be good for a particular person.

I want to make mine suitable for all and for my grandson to do them (with help). At the moment I think we are going to put lego starwars key ring torches, all different but I'm sure there will be swapping and battering at the table until people get the one they want.

Grandson will enjoy knowing what others dont!
