l have two of those and the key lives in them all the time even when out and about and they work well but they are only three months old

they are fairly small and the pictures give a good indication of size
which ever ones you go for test them regularly as l have heard that the faraday liner can loose efficiency with use due to wear on the inside of the pouch

also a lot of the new cars now have an accelerometer type sensor built into the key fob so when you go into the house and put the key down it goes to sleep and stops transmitting any signals

Car makers including Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Ford and Volkwagen are introducing new key fobs with built-in motion sensors that automatically enter a “sleep mode” when they’re left unattended for a certain period of time.

We have a new ford puma but I'm presuming the key fobs haven't changed to this type yet?
Presume none of you have had problems with the pouches stopping the keys from working when removed as saw a couple of reviews on the one's SMAX linked that said this had happened?!

Thanks I also just found that article. Ours was collected this week and only delivered from the factory a few weeks ago so have just emailed the dealer to doublecheck.

Even if it doesn't come with the new type keys I would happily pay the couple of hundred to have the new type to stop all the faffing around with the fobs. Mine is just too old for the new style apparently or I would be doing that myself.

Heard back from the dealer and he says the keys will have the sleep mode as it was standardised quite a while ago.

my car has the accelerometer type sensor built in to the keys but l still use a faraday pouch for the key just for added security

l bought the pouches before l knew they keys had the built in motion sensors so because l had already bought them l still use them
