Clearwater or St Pete's

Hiya,
i was wondering if anyone could help... we are going back to florida in August and fancy taking in one or two beaches as this was part of the deal with the better half when we booked up again.

We've decided that we're going to go to cocoa beach for the day but really fancy taking in St Pete's or Clearwater as we've heard really good things about both.

My question is what are the main differences and which one has more to do at night as we were planning to stay over and go to Busch the following morning?

All help/advice appreciated,

Ta

St. Pete`s on the Gulf Coast is one of our favourites, so that would get our vote. We always visit there for the day when we`re in Orlando. We spend a few hours at the beach and then drive down to the pier. DH and our sons fish, and I have a look around the pier shops and aquarium. A two minute drive up the road from the pier is a shopping and entertainment complex called Bay Walk where they have a really nice Johnny Rockets. Have a look at these web sites. :-) floridasbeach stpetebeach stpetepier yourbaywalk
