Miami recommendations

We are flying in and out of Miami on our next trip so I’m looking for recommendations for

1. Our arrival night when we just want to collect the car and get our heads down
2. Our last night when we want to stay maybe on the beach?

Hilton’s are good as I will have some Hilton points to use, but it doesn’t have to be

The Hilton hotel opposite Dolphin Mall is good, depending when you land, it's nice to stay awake for as long as possible exploring shops and lots of choice to eat in food all. When arriving late we just go for cheap Holiday Inn with bfast, as know what we'll get.

On way home, we tend to go to Vero Beach the evening before, stay overnight and have chilled morning on beach, then do the drive to Miami, which is then about 2.5 hrs.

The first year we flew to Miami we stayed at the Hilton Blue Lagoon Drive, about 5 mins from the airport. Typical Hilton, but clean, good location, friendly staff. We just went to the McDonalds a 2 min drive away for dinner as we were all shattered. We have also driven up to Deerfield Beach which is about 45 mins away and a pretty easy drive. We're not fans of Miami itself, so happy to be up the coast a little.

When we cruise out of Miami our go to hotel is The Marseille.
Prices are reasonable, on the beach, rooms are nice, good pool, jacuzzi cabanas etc.
It's only a 5 minute walk to Ocean Drive for the bars and restaurants, mall etc.
If you're driving then there is multi storey car park 100 yards away.

Airport hotel we always use the Sheraton which is literally across the road from car rental centre. This suits me as I just like to get the car and do as little driving as possible first night then up early morning and out of Miami!
