Travel bags for teenagers

Now that we've made the move to October, I'm feeling ever so confident that we will be going😊

Since the children were tiny, they've always loved a surprise Travel bag where they cant open it until the seat belt sign goes off...its always been a thing they love in our family.

However, they are getting older and will be 16, 15, 14 ...all girls and 12 boy

What on earth do I put in this time?!

I thought they wouldn't want it anymore but of course they do lol x

Is it bits and pieces to keep them busy on the flight or things for once they are there?
If it’s to keep them busy on the flight I would do book by favourite author, favourite sweets/crisps/snacks, adult colouring book or one of the mini scratch arts you can get from The Range (only Ł1 but keeps my 12 year old quiet for ages), fluffy socks/sock slippers so they can take their shoe off on the plane, new headphones... pay for the WiFi if your plane offers it?

Oh I would love making these up!

How about sheet face masks and plane-friendly skincare items so they have a little pamper on the flight?

Always fluffy socks for my daughter! I buy loads of bags of sweets before we go and we separate them into a bag for each of us-never get eaten! My kids just take their headphones now, quite boring.

Some great ideas there, thank you... yeah, it's more for on the plane. I'm loving the sheet masks and trust me, the 12yr old boy definitely does want ears! Lol

This is such a lovely idea. Fluffy socks, the scratch art is good or diamond art ones if they do little sets, lip balm, a bag of sweets, disney phone case (I know wont keep them busy for long but might be nice to have when on holiday)

I'd also put in something they used to get when they were little just for old time's sake ... A kids comic, Peppa Pig stickers and a jotter - that sort of thing.

Top trumps cards linked to their interests - Disney, Harry Potter, Super Cars, Fortnite etc.

I did an amazing little bag for my boys last time but they were a lot younger. Struggling for ideas this time. (They will be almost 16 and 12.5 if we get to go this summer).

Was thinking of a Starbucks card each as they always love getting a Costa when we’re out and about in the U.K and when we went to Japan, we had to avoid certain streets as they had Starbucks on them and my eldest wanted one every time we passed. Do they do international Starbucks cards I wonder?🤔 (Obviously wouldn’t be able to use them on the plane.😅 )
