I find that when I tic some people treat me differently. Some people are overly cautious and think I can’t do anything, others like I’m being rude and treat me in a negative way. Others are perfectly normal with me.

It’s not rare but it’s not common, I think it’s around 1 in 100 people have tics and over 300,000 people in the uk have Tourette’s.

I think it's amazing to be so open so thankyou for that ,I work in a special needs school and we have children who take medication for ADHD ,I was wondering if you knew if tics could increase when taking medication please ? We're finding a massive increase in one of our child's tics once his medication has been taken ? And wonder if there was a link at all ?

Stimulants, like those used for adhd, can increase tics.

Hex I think your amazing. Love how your just being yourself and so honest and open.
I don’t have any questions. I’ve never met anyone with Tourette’s. It’s nice to see all these answers to questions I didn’t even know I had but they are very enlightening.

I did watch a video once in which the woman said that her suppressed when she was having good sex as her mind was occupied on that. She did also emphasise the “good” so I don’t know what would have happened if it was bad.

I know it's not known why some people have it but have brain scans found out what actually happens? Maybe there's a place in the brain speech centre where neurons fire randomly? Or is it completely unknown what happens to cause a tic?

Please I hope this is not a stupid question and forgive me if it is but do your tics effect things like typing, cooking or other physical activities. Is there anything you just could not attempt because of Tourette’s?

As far as I’m aware no one knows exactly yet, I’m not really sure to be honest. Medical articles go a bit over my head lol.

I don’t do sharp knives as sometimes I get stabby or I can’t let go of them. Apart from that there’s nothing I can’t do, there’s a few things I shouldn’t do, like climbing ladders (I get jumpy). I also avoid things like theatres and cinemas and quiet restaurants, just because I feel so self conscious.

I get typing tics, usually on places like discord similar instant messenger type places. I tic type random words (usually swear words (coprographia)). It just happens, often I have to send the message too to fulfill the tic.
