Is it just me...

Is it just me or does anyone else find the best part of trip reports a really good, detailed travel day, both going out and coming back?

I love those who post everything from when they get up, finish packing, head to the airport, have parking issues, check-in breezes, security arguments with family members, duty free shopping adventures, lounge relaxation, fabulous flights, the whole experience.

Perhaps it's because I've worked almost every day for 30 months (the joys of self-employment and lockdown) and last overseas journey was a fabulous business class flight to and from Mauritius (first time ever in business) and I so miss flying.

Anyone else with me on this? If anyone has any favourite travel day reports they've read, I'd love you to share your links.

I enjoy the pre and travel day(s) the best too. I often skip the rest and re-read the travel days. I can feel the excitement in them and vicariously join in

Abolutely agree. Think its that fact that we all have to do that and have memories of doing it. After arrival people go off and do different things.

I think that's it there, we all have to do the same things. It's great to hear how others do it, either differently or just the same way.

I love reading about their holiday, but we all have our own first day traditions, the journey is largely the same for all of us and it's like reliving our own travel days

I like the highs and lows, don't often stay for a whole trip report, but a good highs and lows can be fun to read, especially... and I know I deserve to go to Hell for it... when things have gone wrong.

I’m the same, I also love the pre travel and travel day on vlogs too! They are my favourite part! I think it’s because you can share the excitement.
