Gutted that they have moved the qualifying dates back to the beginning of October. We were plannng on taking our friend, who has never been before, at the end of November/beginning of December so she can see all the Christmas decorations. Ah well, I guess we will have to go back to paying less for accommodation and then paying out of pocket for food.

Anyone with a adult ticket (10+) gets the adult dining plan.

Am I right in thinking two different separate rooms = eligible for 2 giftcards?

Strange they'd chooses to do this but sure there must be a business reason. If people dont book October onwards, they may change thier mind. Here is hoping.
The thing is that October to December is an extremely busy time in WDW. The combination of F&W, Halloween and Christmas celebrations ensure that the guests come thick and fast.
Speaking as a DVC owner, reservations in our resorts are always harder to come by during these months, and I just do not think that Disney need to offer incentives to the British guests in this period. They are full enough without giving away freebies.

Do we have to get tickets through Disney to get the dining plan? We don’t go until Xmas this year but wouldn’t want to
Miss the free DDP if we do decide to go next summer but then with 7 of us the saving on a ticket upgrade can be huge ://
Yes you need to buy a package including accommodation and tickets to qualify for free DDP. I never get it either as I am DVC and therefore do not book a package.
