You are spot on. I just spoke to another CM who was super helpful and informative. She said that they simply cannot tell me what is and what isn't allowed until the day any offers are released. She said it may come down to me losing £200 deposit in order to get the offer by a starting a new booking.
So we risk losing the hotels if we hang on or we risk losing £200.
This is a no brainer for us as its important for us to stay at both an Epcot and a monorail resort.
We are going to start off with 10 nights in YC and then our final 2 nights in GF (the advice re using remaining credits for our first night in GF is really helpful thanks). We just want to experience what the GF has to offer albeit for a short time. Thanks for all your advice

Availability usually changes with any offer so even if you booked a resort now there no guarantee it would be available during free dining. Conversely, just because a resort or room type isn’t available now doesn’t mean it won’t be during the offer.

Ultimately it’s a choice each person has to make and if a specific resort is your top priority then it may be that booking now is your best option. I’d rather hold off and get free dining and compromise on the resort if I have to.

Just another thought about booking now, I have heard people book 1 person in the room so then only having to pay £50 deposit per room and then adding the other people later. Maybe check if that is possible. It might lower the deposit for you.

Also check if Quidco or Top Cash Back have any cash back offers atm

It has never before been possible to add free dining onto a booking made with WDTC outside the free dining period. I would be very very sceptical of this information ... strongly suggest you hold off.

Hi all
We opted to book anyway and lose the deposit if we can't add an offer at a later date. We wanted to guarantee the stays at YC and GF at the end of the day, that was the most important thing to us. Sadly I didn't see the post about only putting one person in a room in order to pay the lower deposit...great idea though!
September 2021 is going to be super busy with lots of people from this year swapping to next, plus Food and Wine, plus 50th anniversary...YC was a must for us.So excited already!
