Hi we went recently to ioa and there is lots of work going on near Jurassic park. Any idea what's going to be there

New Jurassic Park rollercoaster. Going to be a launch coaster with top speed around 70mph. According to planning permits going to be open by May 2021.

No it hasn’t changed, Universal have not announced the project officially or ever talked about a date. There were some rumours of a possible fall 2020 opening, but the strongest rumours have always pointed to spring 2021 to compete with a Tron and Guardians at Disney.

Universal are opening a new attraction in spring 2020 which has been official announced, the Bourne stunt show.

As mentioned earlier, it's going to be a launched steel coaster, possibly with a velociraptor theme. Universal did submit a trademark for a "Velocicoaster", so that might be what it's called.

I had originally seen rumours of an Autumn 2020 opening date but now it seems Spring 2021 is a lot more likely. As far as I'm aware there were never any rumours of a Spring 2020 opening. (The new stunt show at Universal Studios and the new coasters in Seaworld and Busch Gardens are opening in Spring 2020, but not this Jurassic Park coaster).
