Indian Creek/Oak Island

So our go to villas are unavailable and currently our preferred areas of Sunset Lakes and Emerald Isle are a little over our budget.

We have found some suitable villas on both Indian Creek and Oak Island.

Can anyone tell me what these communities are like to stay on and if they are gated?

We stayed in a villa on Oak Island, it was a lovely quiet community. Wasn't gated but felt perfectly safe. Would stay again.

We have stayed on a lovely villa at Indian creek. We have actually booked again for 2021.
Not gated but very quite and felt safe.
Fab location too.

Both are good areas to be in. Very central. New Walmart just at the top of OLW road.

Not gated but in the Formosa Gardens area you like..
Generally speaking would think most of the villas are well kept

Neither are gated as they don't have community pools. This is also why they are often cheaper as owners don't have to pay for gate maintenance etc or more significantly the upkeep of private roads. Indian Creek does have playgrounds and a tennis court. They are both quiet residential communities like Sunset Lake without the resort facilities of EI. Location wise all 4 are within 5 minutes of each other. They are older neighborhoods so have more space between the houses than many of the newest ones.

We stayed on Oak Island last year. Lovely villa with the lake at the rear. It's possibly my favourite of the villas we have stayed in around the Formosa Gdns area. Have you thought of Rolling Hills? Not gated but very nice and safe. We have stayed on there 3 times. It's just across the road from Indian Creek

We have stayed in both areas and although not gated we loved both of them and would be happy to go back to either if the villa was right 😊

We've stayed in Indian Creek a couple of times now, it's a great location.

We stayed in a Dibb villa both times (Orpin is the username) and it was fantastic. Love how close you are to the parks and this villa overlooks the conservation area so is lovely and quiet. Hate to recommend it too much though as we want it to be available when we go 😀 It's not available for our next trip so the owner has put us in touch with someone a few doors away. We're looking forward to staying on Indian Creek again.
