14 nights May-June 2020
Hi all,
We're planning our very first itinerary for our first WDW/Universal trip. We will be travelling with 2 daughters, aged 11 and 8. How does this sound as a very, very basic plan? Day 1: Travel Day 2-7: WDW (to include waterparks) Day 8: Kennedy Space Centre Day 9-12: Universal (2 parks - mainly visiting for HP) Day 13-14 Spare days - possible stay in Clearwater/St. Pete's? Day 15: Travel home. Have we allowed enough time at each place? We are planning on hiring a villa off-site (just realising we may have left the booking of that a bit late!) so will be driving to the parks every day... Many thanks! Lucy and Phil Edited at 09:19 PM. |

You've lost a day, day 15 will be your travel home day. We like to mix the days so we're not going to Disney on consecutive days and the same with Universal. Everyone is different though, if it's your first visit try and take things slow and take in all the details. Don't try and do too much in the first few days as you will burn out by day 4.
Welcome to the Dibb |

Think it’s a bit different to say sometimes as what works for one family doesn’t for another.
I’m going in May too! My days aren’t so set yet. Mostly planned around opening times and crowd calendar to avoid busy parks. That’s usually how we find it best and mixing the universal with the Disney rather than one then other seems to be what most people do I don’t do universal as my kids too small |

Would anyone recommend adding the 2 nights in Clearwater/St Pete's beach? We have friends who had time in St Pete's beach after 12 nights in the theme parks and recommended it... Would 2 nights be enough?
Our flights are in and out of Tampa... |

We went to Clearwater for the day and it was really good. That was in the middle of our holiday though as we flew in/out Orlando.
