I would, and have, happily use Uber in Orlando as a solo female traveller (but I am happy to use Uber anywhere).
The only uncomfortable experience I had with drivers in Orlando was with Mears taxis. Edited at 02:47 PM. |

Thanks everyone. I think I'll load the Uber app when I'm out there as I'll be getting a T-mobile US sim the day after I arrive.

Getting Excited

I would use both by myself and feel much safer than a regular taxi anyway but if it really bothers you get a Minnie Van they might not be Female but they are CM's!

Proud to wear my Ears

I used Mears taxi, booked it online, when I was travelling solo. Fairly competitive price.

I've used Uber in Orlando solo (as I do here in London). I've never felt unsafe but if it's something that you are nervous of then I would go with the minivan.

Excited about Disney
|
Google “Uber sexual assaults” - 3000 reported in the last year. Yes there’s a risk in crossing a road, but with those statistics I wouldn’t feel comfortable using one as a solo female (and I used to hitchhike alone when I was a student - eek, when I think!)
