Those that that have themed trees, what do you do with the old sets of decorations? Do you pass them on or store them in case you want a revival?

Our theme was red and gold for years, although we also have ornaments made by the children when they were young and Disney baubles or other baubles from our travels. However a couple of years ago I changed the colour scheme to a black tree with purple ornaments and tinsel (still keeping the sentimental ornaments) It is more modern looking but I think I prefer the traditional red and gold

I have decorations that I have collected over 25 years. They all go on the tree, nothing matches but I love bringing them out and reminiscing about where we got them , if we can remember lol.

Exactly the same for us- we always buy an ornament on holiday - love remembering them all when we decorate

I’ve just realised after replying to this thread, that this year will be our 25th Christmas in our own house.

My tree in my big lounge is all antique gold as is the swag that goes over the fireplace. The sitting room has a white and silver/grey theme. I have just bought the most gorgeous crystal and silver dragonfly clips to go on there. Cant wait to decorate them now! Will post pics when I am done next week.

It changes each year!

This years theme is amber woodland; brown, orange, copper, little bristle woodland animals, leaves etc.
Last year I did white and clear, with white Pom Pom strands.
Next year I’m thinking navy!

The second tree is normally the sentimental/fun baubles with others scattered in!
