Hold on debit/credit card

Hi we have two hire cars booked one with Alamo from mco for a few days we have booked with them and never had a hold put on our card before but we also have a one day hire with avis from port canaveral after we get off our cruise do they except debit cards as well and do they put a hold on any funds at all. Many thanks.

I have never had a hold with Alamo in dozens of rentals. All I get is the $1 test they do a few days before arrival.

Avis I don't know sorry but my stance would be assume they put a hold on your debit card for the full cost of the rental. Or maybe $250 as I have seen that mentioned before. The duration you are hiring for will mean it won't be much anyhow.

$100 hold in September with Avis Orlando.

We didn't have a hold with Avis at MCO in September.
