first time staying at universal! What to do on arrival day?

So this is our first time staying at Universal and just wondered what you usually do on arrival day?

Our flight is due to land at 14.50 and we're staying at HRH

TIA

It will be around 5pm by the time you get there so I would just plan a wander round City Walk and a meal somewhere as you will be tired. Don't forget it will be much later for your body and you will have been up early!

We tend to go to the park even if it’s only for an hour or two get a few rides in and helps to keep us up until a reasonable time so jet lag isn’t as bad for us

Hit the rides as they are on the doorstep.
Food onsite or if off-site with a trip for essential items

It’s just minutes to stroll into the main universal park and you’ve got express pass. I’d definitely be in there at least for 1 or 2 rides.
You could get some nice quick light food in city walk after, I’d recommend bread box, pick up a wee voodoo doughnut for the morning and get the boat back if you’re flagging.

We are usually on a slightly later flight and too late to get to the parks when we arrive as Universal parks don’t stay open as late as Disney. So we go to Citywalk, however if we were an hour or two earlier, we would go to a park.

Staying at HRH we went to Universal for a couple of hours. With FoL passes it’s easy and a five minute walk from the hotel. Avoid the boat it takes longer than walking.

We're landing around the same time. We're planning on food/drinks Walmart/publix, a little shopping at premium and then city walk for a drink. Never stayed onsite before and dh has always driven. We're only there for a week though so we've got to fit in as much as we can😁
