I'd be terrifically excited to see this, if it ever happened.

This is old news. This was a theory way back in 2017 when a 4th gate was hinted. Since then the new park has been announced. Was project 314 this was the project name for fantastic worlds.

Yeah, I mentioned something like this back in my comment.
A few years ago there was a rumour that Universal were in talks with the Tolkien estate regarding building a LOTR-based land but, for what I'd heard, the talks had fallen through. Therefore, I wondered whether there was any new information. I suspect not and this is just a rehash of that earlier rumour. I thought we'd pretty much guessed what the lands at Epic Universe would be - Nintendo land (Super Mario and Donkey Kong), Classic Monsters land, Harry Potter (Fantastic Beasts) land, Dreamworks land (including How To Train Your Dragon and others)?

That's what the lands are expected to be, although from the concept art and if insider rumours are true then it wont be a full dream works land but a large land based on how to train your dragon with multiple attractions. Also rumours do point to some standalone attractions base on individual IP's which are around the main hub, no rumours to what these will be based on though. However I cant imagine LOTR would just get a stand alone attraction if was happening would be a full land, but based on what's known so far then I highly doubt we will see anything on opening day. |

This will be the only thing that would get me to return to Universal - DO IT!
