Pillows

Has anyone ever taken their own pillow when staying at a Disney Resort ?

I use a Tempur pillow at home and I find I just can’t get comfortable with the pillows they use at Disney as they are just too “fat” and soft. As we’re going for 3 weeks I was thinking of taking my own pillow so I can sleep better.l

Am I mad ? And if I do take it should I take my own pillowcases so that housekeeping know it’s my pillow?

Always! And for many, many years with my own pillowcase and they've never been touched ...

We always take our own pillows, don't bother with our own pillowcase, never thought to & never had a problem with housekeeping, they just put the pillowcase on our pillow when they change the bedding. We always take old ones so we can leave them there and have the extra room in our cases for all the things we buy there

I'm finicky about pillows too. And learned something on a recent trip to London: some hotels actually have different pillow types to choose from. Try asking the front desk in the future if the standard pillows aren't to your liking. I sure will.

My grandmother travelled all round the world with her own pillow! Cruises, 5 star hotels, my mum's house... she never travelled without it. Always had her own, floral, pillowcase on it too.

I never go to a hotel/villa etc without my own pillow, the thought of someone else's drool on it makes me feel ill

They only ever change the cover so the pillow itself could be in a horrible state.

In the states I then leave the pillow behind giving me a bit more room in my case.

Wow this taking pillows- thought it would be ‘niche’ obviously not. I’ve just got a good pillow, called Dunlopillow supreme or something latex inside, highly recommended for you pillow lovers. Mrs YT nicked my Simba one but this is better and half the price. Mrs YT would not be amused if I put it in the case though- less shoes.
