TUI baggage allowance

Can baggage allowances be 'pooled' with TUI? We are allowed 20kg each (4 passengers). Would it be OK if for example 1 bag was 23kg and another 17kg, as long as the total weight of the 4 bags didn't exceed 80kg?

We did that once with Virgin and were advised at check in each bag had to be less than the allowance and you can’t pool them. Don’t know about TUI but would guess it’s similar.

Yes you can pool your allowance with TUI but I’m sure the maximum weight per luggage item allowed is 23kg due to health and safety of the people lifting

Yes you can pool luggage with tui,but as mentioned heaviest bag must be 23kg or under as far as I know.Having said that,my dd had 25.4kg at sanford (too much shopping!) and they were fine with it.Probably as we had only 4 cases for 10 of us
