What would you do? August and a 4 month old

I’ve taken DD at three months which was all good but it was December. We got back from our first August trip this week having spent a gorgeous three weeks there. But it was so hot. We wondered on day two how we were going to cope but got a bit used to it a couple weeks in. There’s so much walking - we clocked up 8.5 miles one day. I could not have carried a baby in a sling due to the heat and prams look so hot. We shade /AC hunted the whole time and ours are now 7 and 11 years. I saw a lot of babies in buggies and prams wearing just a nappy but still looked roasting. Taking a baby was completely fine but I’d choose a cooler month and do August when they are older but completely get that that’s just me! Our DD liked being in a pram ordinarily but preferred to be carried out there.

DH carries our rucksack round the parks and every day had a perfect rucksack shaped patch of sweat on his back! 😀😀
