What Car? Advice please.

Hi Folks,

Looking for some advice and solutions.

Last year we booked to got to POR 4th October this year. Thats was for myself DW, DD, DS and my Folks 6 people. My eldest son had started university and didnt want to come. My wife uses a wheelchair. We had booked an 8 seater minivan which we though would tak her chair and our luggage.
roll on 4 days before xmas and eldest son was diagonised with cancer. He has had his chemotherapy etc and is doing well. Concerderations were made to cancel the holiday, however the Doctor has given him permission to come with us. Flights have been booked and disney have been informed.

My problem is this we have booked into the Ramada at gateway for the first night ( maxiise our days at disney) We check into POR the next day.
How do i get 7 of us from MCO to the hotel. with cases and 2 wheelchairs now. I will be the driver, my daughter who is 25 could drive but i think she would freak driving the wrong side of the road and an automatic.

Any advice greatly received.

Thanks

Uber or cab for a few people luggage and MS in car should be under $20.
Enjoy and hope all goes well with recovery.

Get the 12 / 14 seater bus (really an extended van) instead. I always get this when 6+ of us go. Very easy to drive over there, loads of space, usually about same price as the mini van.

Hi. Sorry to hear the news about your Son. I hope his treatment is going well. So worrying.

The easy option is to change to a 12 seater but thats very drastic.

How old are your folks? Reason I ask is I would get an Uber for them and meet them at the Ramada and do the same when heading to Disney the next day.

Another option is to grab a cheap 1 night stay at Disney for the first night for your folks and they use the free DME and again Uber or Minnie can across to POR

Edit. And I see Duncan types faster than me!

Thanks for the advice,

We are going to change our booking to a 12 seater minibus. Seems to be the easier options, to and from airport, Also travelling from place to place with 2 wheelchairs.

thanks again
