Avis Chevy Suburban V Ford Transit Passenger Van
Looking at rentals for next April. There will be six of us (including one child in a car seat). Will have luggage as well. Would prefer the Suburban as listed as having 7 seats plus room for 4 cases. The Passenger Van looks just like a minibus, and certainly not as comfortable as the SUV.
What would you do? Will possibly be driving from MIA and then driving around Orlando. |

I would always go for a min van first. I think they are more comfortable and easier to get in and out of. The other thing is my guess is most mini vans get much better gas milage.

Suburban generally will seat 8 although a customer specific order can make it a 7 or 9 seater.
Have had them before great bit of kit last visit 6 cases 1 brides dress carrier and hand luggage no issues. Have also had the 12 seat tranny van its a useful load lugger but just a storage van with seats and windows added. Suburban all the way so for me, both are crap on fuel but as cheap who cares. Enjoy whatever you pick.

We had an 8 seater suburban and I'd chose that again all day long. Hoping for the same again this trip. We are 2 adults and 5 children 2 who are in car seats x

Suburban all the way, more than enough room for 6 plus luggage in comfort. And a lot nicer to use than a transit van!
We had 8 people (6adults a 4 and 1 year old) and a double buggy in a Ford Expedition last year, which is a fair bit shorter than a suburban and had plenty of room. The extra length in the boot would give ample space for luggage (plus you can fold down seats to free up even more space in the back row. |

Thank you for the responses. My choice would be the Suburban so will be going for that, if we decide to go!
