Well done to all those starting out and those progressing.

There's some good advice on here and lots of encouragement.

Pepsibubbles inspired me to complete my week 9 run 2, which I hadn't got around to. It went well and not too hot for Florida. Good to see some wildlife. 2 large wading birds crossed in front of me today. I saw a small snake near the road the other day... good encouragement to increase pace!

I'm broken 😣😣😣

Was up to Wk8/1 last Thursday. Came on holudayvto Cornwall and after walking quite a few very steep hills, Padstow, Lanhydrock, etc, both calfs were really tight. Managed my wk8/2 run on Saturday but by that evening could hardly walk. Struggled on but by Monday evening it had moved to my hip. Absolute agony. Dosed up on analgesics. Once I get moving after 5 mins I can walk but getting up and down is painful and can't touch my toes. No sleep on Monday night due to pain.

No point to this post but really gutted that Couch25k is on hold. Hopefully when I get home things will settle and I'll get back on it, probably at wk7.

Take care all xx

I had something similar but not as bad on Monday. On the Sunday I walked up loads of steep steps at a castle. Did my run on Monday and barely made it as my calves were so bad. Thankfully the days rest and I was able to continue with my run yesterday. I hope you recover quickly. I’m on week 8 too.

Sorry to hear you suffered but good to know with rest things have improved.

I think that's the problem, can't rest as on holiday and we don't do restful holidays 😊. Home tomorrow so will rest up over weekend and try a gentle run on Monday xx

Just graduated!

Many thanks to all those who've been so supportive and encouraging.

For those thinking about it it's a really good system.

I hope to do a few more runs in Florida and keep going in the UK.

I hope those on it get to the end.

Well done! It’s a great feeling isn’t it 👍. I graduated the week before we went to Florida and did 3 30 min runs before we went. I took my running gear with me and went out 2 times during the first 2 weeks of our holiday. I could only manage 15 or 20 mins each time. The heat and humidity was really draining. We got back on Monday and I’ve struggled with jet lag since. Did one run on Wednesday and could only manage 20 mins. Hope to try again tomorrow. I’m sure I’ll get back into it over the next few weeks. I couldn’t believe how hard it would be to maintain 😬
