Narbonne plage August 2016, Day 4.

Friday 19th August
We didn't really do much, so this will be a short one.
Got up usual time.
Two more of our friends, Debbie and Michael were flying in today and we had discussed having a barbque ready for them before we left. The plan was to get some shopping at lidl, and Russell would drive Linda to pick them up.
Russell drive us to lidl quite early, it used to be in Gruissan but it's moved to just outside and is a lot bigger.
It didn't take long to get there, and we brought some burgers, sausages and salads. There was a lengthy discussion about steaks! In the end the men decided and popped 4 in the trolly, Linda and I don't eat it. They were about €7 each, so thought they would be ok. Also some more beers and wine, then headed for the checkout. Total was €52.
Back home we unpacked and made some toast.
We couldn't get onions, so Matt and I popped to the spar to pick some up along with a few other bits. We had a quick walk along the front with an ice cream.

Russell and Linda left for the airport late afternoon and Matt and I started dinner.
They arrived back about 7, and everything was ready to go, we had dinner outside.
The steak was terrible, but everything else was good.
We sat out drinking and laughing, then took a walk along the front.
There was another band on so we sat at the balcony bar again.
Then back to the house for some more chatting.
Last year I went with just Linda, Debbie and my sister and ended up reading 2 books. This year we took 3 books each but didn't read at all, apart from one on the flights. Plus we didn't have wi fi, just an hour near the tourist information, it was very old school.

Tomorrow we get back to getting out and visit Narbonne.

Edited at 05:50 PM.

Shame about the steak! The rest of the day sounds very relaxing! Can't beat a good bbq!

Nice looking ice cream! I love Lidl too - any supermarket abroad is more fun than Tesco. Sounds like a good day!

Ice cream was delish! Lots of flavours to choose from as well.
Lidl was great, they had a system at the checkout for the trolleys as well.
