Greetings from North Yorkshire!

Hi,

We're here for a week, having arrived yesterday. We're renting a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom cottage in the village of Nawton on the edge of the North Yorks Moors. "We" are my mum and stepdad, DH and me, plus Peter poodle. Tomorrow, we're off to Pickering; Tuesday Castle Howard; Wednesday Scarborough. Thursday we have booked tickets on the North Yorks railway from Pickering to Whitby and one of the stations we go through is at Goathland, which was used as Hogsmead station.

Hi to any Dibbers in the area. You'll know it's us with a small black poodle and my American stepdad charming the birds from the trees in all the shops...

Go to Hemsley while you're there, and the abbey in Whitby. We've rented a cottage in Pickering for a few years now, lovely area.

Love North Yorkshire. My father in law has a caravan in Pickering so spend a lot of time there. Have fun

Strangely enough we have spent this afternoon in Helmsley Lovely town and we had a sunny day as a bonus!
