What do I need to do now?
Hi,
So, I have bought 3 adult e-tickets (essentially 3 x 3 base days), linked them to my MDE app and to each member of my party. Now this is where I am getting confused! What do I need to do when I get to the first park to activate the tickets or can I buy a magicband and link that beforehand so I can straight through the turnstile? Hope that makes sense. I’m staying at the B resort so a Disney affiliated hotel if that makes a difference 😀 Thanks |

You can either:
Go to one of the Will Call ticket desks at the entrance to a park, show them you e-tickets and ID, get given plastic tickets, and use those to scan to enter the parks. Or Buy MagicBands for everyone, link these to your MDE account and assign each to a person, and then scan the MagicBands to enter the parks. Activating the tickets just means using them for the first time. But you need some sort of physical item (either plastic cards or MagicBands) to enter the park, not just e-tickets.

Thanks Nimbus. Not sure if it’s best to buy magic bands or go to a will call kiosk but at least I know the options. Cheers

If you're staying at a Disney resort you can get them when you check in. You can customise them on MDE. If staying offsite you can purchase in any Disney store. If arriving at MCO you can buy at the airport.

I probably should've mentioned this in my earlier post, but as disneypars says above, if you are staying onsite then you'll pick up MagicBands when you check in.
However, I'm assuming you're staying offsite. The best places to buy them are probably in the main shops in each Disney park or at the big Disney store in Disney Springs. The cheapest place to buy them is at the Disney outlet stores in the outlet malls at either end of International Drive. They sometimes have cheaper, previous-season MagicBands on sale there, but the selection can often be limited.

OP you are travelling the same day as me - wondering if we will actually be going?!
On our first trip in 2015 we also stayed at the B Resort and we got our Magicbands there in reception. The hotel was lovely. We had emailed to request a high floor room facing Disney and got given exactly that. Great views of fireworks if we weren’t out etc. The other side is next to I4 so definitely email a room request. Sorry - went off topic there!
