Smoking Ban... !

Starting today, smokers won't be able to light up at several restaurants. The Darden Corporation is enforcing the smoking ban, passed by voters at all of its restaurants, including Olive Garden, Red Lobster, and Smokey Bones.

The law doesn't officially hit the books until July. But, some companies are banning smoking now, because so many people voted for it. Managers expect some smokers to take their business elsewhere. But, they're hopeful they can make up the loss by attracting more non-smoking customers.

Smoking was banned in all restaurants in Vermont in 1994.

It's so wonderful and very easy to get used to. Every time we go to Montreal and we're asked "smoking or non?" I do a double-take.

I think it's not too much to ask for a smoke-free environment when you're eating.
I was walking through town today and the smokers had it in for me I reckon!... I kept walking into puffs of cigarette smoke, yuk!
Each to their own, but please, not when we're eating.

As a smoker - I always try not to smoke if someone nearby is still eating - as I can't stand the same thing happening to me.

My SIL is forever doing it and it drives me mad

And the real pains in the butt are permanent.
