So instead of being embarrassed about the same T-shirt in all those photos we should embrace it and say how for all these years we have been doing our bit for the planet, even if subconsciously 😊

Each person is now thought to consume and inhale thousands of particles per year these can get into and stay in the body. At present the true harm is not known as it’s still being scientifically looked at but certainly can’t be good.

Sadly they don't just poop it out. It accumulates in the stomachs of apex predators (killer whales, dolphins, sharks etc) and causes premature death

We dont have such things near where I live. There used to be a Triad bin but that went during last lockdown . I recycled mine into energy by sending them to the incinerator for electricity

DH will never throw clothes away - I mean from the late 1960’s onwards. Never wears them though just folds them neatly and put them back in the drawer

I volunteer in a local charity shop, so often take things in (including DHs which he doesn't miss!) but I also often buy things too - we get some gorgeous branded clothes donated. I have a couple of friends who are a bit sniffy about buying from charity shops, so I wait for them to compliment me on a new designer top and take great delight in saying - yes it cost £4

Most charity shops send clothes and bedding etc (that are unsaleable) to be recycled and also get paid by weight for them.
