Mmmm, A Bob or Perkins breakfast would be so great right now

Hi Lynda, sorry I missed this.
Sigh, yes when will we have that first morning moment at breakfast again
It is a great layout. So many designs to choose from
The second bathroom in pretty much all the homes we saw had this moulded unit which I really don’t like. We asked for it to be tiled instead. I will find a pic now ...

You can just see here. I just don’t like the finish on it so want it tiled . I can see this makes sense if it’s used a lot .. easier to clean etc but as it will be only used if the kids come over, I’d rather have the tile finish.

My second bathroom here in Florida does have tiles but is looking dated due the slight pattern from the late 80's. The master ensuite is plain white tiles luckily but in desperate need of a regrout and seal due to mold stains. My mother's house on Cape Cod was built in the 70's with molded, seamless units that have required zero maintenance in 50 years and still look good. Funny how the "basic budget option" has worn the best by far.

House looks amazing and I love your colour choices. What an exciting thing to be doing. I’m off to find the rest now...
Ah thank you x It was exciting - and quite stressful . I’m not one for making quick decisions usually so this was super weird for me choosing all the colours.

Yes, I see what you mean about the moulded tile unit. We’ve had them in rental villas many times. Fine for that purpose, but I agree that in your own home tiles would be much nicer. I bet you can’t wait to get back over to see how it’s all coming along.
All a bit chaotic at the moment Lynda. 😣 Hope all ok with you x

Mine was buzzing by the end of the day 🤪

Yes I can imagine it wears really well. These ones just looked too “plastic” for me . I can see why they are so popular though. Cape Cod - must be lovely, it’s on my (very long) list of places still to see... one day 🤞

Thanks for posting this - I'm intrigued, thinking about maybe having somewhere in Florida for when I retire. Mind you now that I have a dog the logistics of travelling would lend themselves to longer timespans rather than multiple shorter trips and taking the dog would be interesting.
