We watched it on the day it was released (was that last Friday?). I suggested we turn it off after 30 minutes as I knew my husband wouldn't be enjoying it but we stuck it out. It was alright, not something I'd watch again. It would have been so much better without James Corden in it. I can only tolerate him as Smithy.

I must say the first 20 mins are so are a bit 🥴🥴🥴🥴 but it does get really good honestly!
I actually didn’t know who James Cordan was. I tend to only watch Netflix so only ever seen in him ‘into the woods’
I won’t write any spoilers but if you stick with his character has a heart wrenching part and I sobbed my eyes out!
Again, I wont post any spoilers but something happens about an hour in and oh my word! It really does show how fear and ignorance can effect people.
I do think Nicole Kidmans part was a bit redundant, she was a bit pointless and didn’t add anything extra. Shame because I really like Nicole kidman.

What certificate is it? Is it suitable for family viewing with children?

It's rated 12. It's got a good underlying message about acceptance as it's about a girl that wants to take her female partner to prom.
