Virgin cancel up to 17th March 2021

Virgin have published information that they are cancelling the following up to and including the 17th March 2021 in a message to their trade partners today. Apparently this will appear on Global Distribution Systems (GDS) tomorrow December 19th.

"Unfortunately, we have taken the difficult decision to delay the re-start of the flights detailed below.

Route Travel Dates

MAN - MCO
LHR - MCO Up to and including 17 Mar 21

LHR - LAS Up to and including 16 Mar 21

As soon as more information is forthcoming I will update.

This is not good news.

Up to Easter then- they’ll be hoping they can start the holiday market for Easter. 50/50 I reckon.

we've just had it confirmed via twitter PM that our 13th March LHR - MCO is cancelled, long night on hold for me I reckon

Honestly not sure what to do, I think we would like to try for October but the Glasgow flight isn't even showing up that we need for inbound leg (I know its there as I can see 2 upper seats but that's all) so it would likely be LHR that paying for flights down there and back up. So it'll just depend on if they charge price diff and what they say about us having PE miles upgrades, if they can move them over or not etc.

I think if ours in April get cancelled I’ll go for a refund and start again for maximum flexibility.

So I took an open ticket and the incentive which (the one I picked) was a return upgrade voucher each. I have flights in mind so will have a wee think and maybe brave the call again tomorrow.
