The Escape at Nonsuch Bay, Antigua
Has anyone stayed here and have any reviews? Seems good from tripadvisor but always good to get dibber’s opinions
We are looking to go there in late 2021 if possible as we’ve had to postpone our wedding and honeymoon from June 2021 to April 2022, so we want to plan a nice holiday for later this year to take our mind off things before we can hopefully get married and honeymoon in Hawaii next year.

Not been to the resort, but visited Nonsuch bay when I was working out there. Nice area but is on the quiet side of the island and away from all of the places you may want to visit like St Johns, English Harbour etc.
May have changed since I was there mind. I would happily stay in the area provided I had a car for at least some of the time. Something with a high ground clearance as some of the roads look like they have been mortared 😀 Antigua is fantastic, hope you have a great honeymoon wherever you choose to stay. |

Thank you. What an amazing place to work!
We’d be quite happy staying in the resort most of the time as they have boat trips to a neighbouring island, but we will have to do a trip/drive to stingray city which looks fab! This will be as a consolation holiday later this year because we haven’t been able to get married as planned. We are crossing our fingers and toes that we can honeymoon in Hawaii in 2022 I don’t think my initial post was very clear so I have edited haha!

Never been to this resort but I do know Non Such Bay well as we used to have a home in Antigua. It is on a quiet side of the island and at one time was very quiet with only exclusive Harmony Hall there. The place to be seen at Sunday lunch with fab food and an art gallery and a free boat across to Green Island.
They then build a large resort of Browns Bay with villas and condos but the road remained very bad over there. This resort must be another new comer. Unless they have build a man made beach the thebeach may not be good. Browns Bay has a small marine but no shops or restaurants outside the resort there. You would need a car to get out and about. Hope you have fun, we still have lots of friends on the island. |

Thank you - how wonderful to have a home there!
The Nonsuch Resort itself appears to have opened around 10 years ago but the section we’re looking at is ‘The Escape’ which they added on a couple of years ago - it is adults only and looks lovely but you have to go to the main resort a five minute buggy journey away for the beach. This doesn’t bother me too much as I’d prefer the adults only part of the resort. I’m mainly intrigued by the free boat to green island twice a day as we love snorkelling! 😍

Green island is a small island not far off shore many yachts tie up there for weekends or overnight. It is home of the only very rare snake in Antigua (non venomous). I have never seen one!
To be honest Antigua snorkeling is not great anywhere but Green Island is a charming little place, quiet and unspoilt. Our daughter and family are thinking of heading to Antigua in the summer to Carlyle Bay, they have two little boys and are looking for an All Inclusive with a great beach. I can however understand your wish for an Aduly Only option. |

Oh wow, I’ll have to keep my eyes peeled for the snake, my other half would love to see one! I have seen a lot of reviews mentioning turtles and eagle rays around green island so I’ve got my fingers crossed for those.
I hope your daughter and family have a lovely holiday We all deserve one after the last year!
