Mobile Breakfast in our hotels - staying at Universal Adventura and then Hilton Buena Vista Palace

Not been to Florida before and have booked these hotels for 4 days each in December. We like to eat a decent buffet breakfast then skip lunch. There was not an option to book breakfast when I booked the hotels. Can I do this in advance?

Need to save money by not eating in the parks so would also like to know whether there is a supermarket close by (we don’t have a car) so I can go and buy snacks/drinks to take into the park.

Thanks in advance. No idea what we will do for evening meals yet but trying to sort one thing at a time as it’s all a bit overwhelming!

The breakfast buffet at the BVP will be pricey. A quick Google should enable you to find out how much but I'm betting it will be $20 plus per head + tax.

It would probably be cheaper to Uber round the corner to IHOP or Denny's or Golden Corral and fill up for the day there.

Nearest supermarket will be Winn Dixie on Vineland or a bit further in the opposite direction Publix. Neither would be too expensive via Uber.

For Aventura you are going to be more of a captive audience but if you are going there second you could take stuff with you.

Just got back from the Palace! Buffet breakfast for adult with tax and tip apx $30. It was complimentary for me so I used to have it and get take out box with pastries etc for lunch or dinner! Very nice but not cheap! There is also a 24 hour cafe ( Citrus) with breakfast pastries, bagels and sandwiches averaging between $3 and $7 dollars. All really nice and good variety of choice. The only day there was a long wait for a table was a Sunday when they have a character breakfast. I don't think you can actually book in advance. You will get 10% off the breakfast ( part if resort charge) but not off Citrus.

Last year I took a cab first day to walmart. Stocked up with bagels which I took down each day and toasted ( they don't blink an eye), also large OJ ( same price as small one in hotel)and some soda's and water which I kept in fridge which kept cost down.

A 20 min walk takes you to Crossroads with many places to eat and Goodings supermarket which is not the cheapest but if you are only in the area for a few days will still be cheaper than hotel.

Aventura food court is really nice although we didn’t use it for breakfast. We tended to stick to Starbucks which is also in the hotel.
If you are in IOA croissant moon bakery does nice breakfast croissantsfairly cheap. Or we like to pick up a voodoo doughnut for the following morning.
The kitchen at Hard Rock hotel does a really nice Sunday brunch and the breakfast at amatistas cookhouse in sapphire falls looks good $25 per head I think. We are going to try there on our next trip - it’s just across the road from Aventura and then you can catch the boat into the park.
We were in Florida last Christmas so I’m very jealous.

Aventura did breakfast flatbreads and also more traditional hot breakfast items. Food was nice just bit pricey. First watch, Dennys, Ihop and kekes are all just a short uber drive away.
