Looking for hotel somewhere around Miami?

Hi - does anyone have any recommendations for a good hotel somewhere around Miami or on the coast up towards Orlando (3 nights)?

Last time we stayed at Margaritiville at Hollywood Beach - loved the hotel and pool but not much in the immediate area (only 2 restaurants etc.) so we ended up driving somewhere each day.

We'd like a hotel which is close to lots of restaurants (within walking distance) and which has a great pool (not just a boring rectangle one - picky i know )

Initial plan was to Uber there from airport (and then back to collect hire car 3 days later) but if there's somewhere nice higher up we can hire car straight away

Looked at loads of hotels on Miami Beach but pool areas not what we're looking for

If anyone has any suggestions they would be most welcome

We stayed at the Kimpton Surfcomber - sorry the pool is a rectangle, but it was lovely and only a 2 minute walk to the beach and a 5 minute walk to Lincoln Road which had lots of great restaurants. We loved Miami and our hotel was super central and had complimentary wine every afternoon for Hotel guests. The room sizes were compact and parking was ridiculous - we returned our hire car and used Uber to reduce the costs!
