Sits nicely around your waist, no straps to dig into your shoulders and makes you a fashion icon.

Come on you know you want to.
We have all got these on our Christmas lists!

We are here now with bum bags and as long as they clip up with 3 prongs (connectors) on the belt you can take them on all universal rides except hulk and rip ride rocket. We have been on every other ride without having to use a locker.

Bum bag/fanny packs are all the rage with the young ones now lol
Please, please take sun cream and re apply at regular intervals. The once a day one is false advertising and has been proven to not work any longer than regular stuff.
My friend got skin cancer on her forehead at 30. She has been through hell and back. She is very olive skinned and therefore never really worried about the sun because she never, ever burned. She now wishes she could turn back time and spend that little extra time applying and re applying sun cream

Thank you all for the suggestions, great advice on here!
I do have a bumbag and they were great last year when we went, the plan is to use them again but I was wondering whether it would be possible to even go without them. Although reading the comments I did forget about sun cream and we will need to take that with us, especially for long days at the park so think it will be back to trusted bumbag.

you're absolutely right, and I used to use them

except, one part of the question could have to do with "fasttracking" through security, using the "no bags" lane

and fanny packs are considered as "bags" as far as security goes

the reason why I no longer use them at parks

We managed without any type of bag when the 4 of us went in October.
It’s great to walk past the long bag check lines
We carried 2 bottles of water and phones in pockets
Whoever had a pocket with a zip got the car keys

We try to go without bags at Universal in order to avoid most of the locker queues. However at Disney we take a bag as they are allowed on all the rides.

I tried bagless one day. drove me mental. Kept feeling I had ‘lost’ something 😂 I have settled with one of the Kath Kidston fold up back packs. They are very light so not too sweaty back inducing. I can’t cope without Chilly’s water bottle, phone, purse, tissues, wet wipes, hairbrush, sun cream and ibuprofen. I’ve managed to dump everything else I used to carry.

It seems strange that you can go on Rock and roller coaster at Disney, which goes upside down, with a heavy backpack but you can't go on Men in Black at Universal unless it is a bumbag, all others have to go in a locker.

I always wrap the straps around my legs and then practically fall out when I am exiting.
