Class video on iPad?

My daughter’s class is doing an end of primary video. Just them singing and dancing along to Can’t Stop The Feeling. A friend of one of the parents was going to edit it for us but has just told us they can’t; the videoing is taking place tomorrow and on Thursday (long standing date agreed between the parents so can’t change it).

Does anyone have any pointers for us please? We were using iPads, so are going to carry on and use them. Is it best to use iMovies? Or just video? I’m concerned by quality on the iPad - I have an IPad Air 2 and the video quality always seems better on my iPhone 6s. Should I use my phone instead?

And then to edit. Can we put it all on a Mac. Any editing programmes to use or avoid?

Any help very greatly appreciated xx

if youve got a mac, then you should have a copy of imovie already, which will be more than suitable for editing it.

and yes, the iphone 6s camera is definitely better quality than the ipad air 2 (ipad pro matches the 6s specs tough). compare the specs here:

why not use both, then you have two cameras doing different angles you can edit together?
